Suggestions to make the role play last longer and be more engaging.
Let's talk before starting the role play
As stated in the rules I find. That talking about the role play and setting up a basic idea or plot. Helps my role play last longer and, in general, are better! Then those without any foundations. Even if your know you're going from point A to point B. You don't know what's going to happen along the way. As it can easily branch out into many different mini-plots/arcs.
Make the world feel more alive
By that, it means that you should try to use all five senses. Not just sight, and sound. This means how it feels, smell even tastes at times. Also by playing more people that show up more than once. A good cast of people helps drive a well-written story, movie even series. I know I don't want to play everyone minus someone's main character, and I bet you feel the same!
Semi-paragraph, Paragraph and Multi-paragraph
- All of these I do and each has its ups and down. I prefer paragraph and up as it keeps me more entertained. The good about Semi-paragraph is the role play moves faster. Both in the time it takes to make a post and the story itself. But the down is I tend to find that people only use one character and not much detail. Which makes me grow board.
- Semi-paragraph, paragraph and multiple Paragraphs.Paragraph is a good middle ground it can have more than once charter though it may not always. It also generally has more details. It moves pretty quick in time it takes to post and the story. This one doesn't really have any real downside. Think of it like a jack of all trades but a specialist of none.
- While multiple paragraphs, I tend to like the best. This allows for a much Largest amount of cast and details. It engages and keeps me the most interest of the three. The only downside to some. Might be how long it takes to post a post. Or how long it takes for a role play to move. This I don;t mind as I understand it takes a bit to read and type a post.
If you have a problem, say it when it happens instead of bottling it up
This is more for when we chat or if you come to learn to role play. As I will correct you almost instantly if you are making the same mistake over, and over. I am also blunt so don't take it as me being mean or aggressive. It just tends to work a lot better than beating around the bush! So please do the same with me. This will help our role play and chats go much smoother. Then blowing up on me! About something that's passed a while ago, just because I correct you on something. The only exception being Spelling as it can hinder my learning. So please just ask for a report if it's that hard to read.
Lastly try to be mature, and know people's boundaries
No matter your age people can be mature. If someone tells you that you made a mistake and suggest a way to fix it. Don't blow up taking it with a grain of salt and grow as a writer. At the same time understand not everyone on chatango wants to talk or have sex. Thiers a lot of not so great people on here. So don't get offended if I only ask very basic stuff and don't wish to share a lot. You were linked to this wix by my multicharacter one. If you need to know some stuff about me, that wix has an about me page. I will not share Skype, Facebook or stuff like that with strangers. Until I have gotten to know you well enough and think you have my trust.
This could take years so far only one person has my skype from here, and it took 3 years for this to happened due to a voice project we were working on. At the same time if someone asked you to stop or leave a few time please do it and try back another time. If you keep pushing people are liable to block and report on here.
